Lady Jaye’s Top 10 Fantasy Men

Lady Jaye on Aug-18-2008

Stole this from Hilly because it was such a beautiful sight to behold on her blog.

10. Daniel Craig - I’m Jaye. Lady Jaye and I’ll shake your martini ANY day.

9. Eduardo Verástegui - This man is just incredibly beautiful. Usually latin men don’t do much for me but this one makes me want to make Spanish my first language.

8. Ethan Hawke - I fell in love with him in Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. He’s chatty, he’s intelligent, sensitive and smokin’ hot. The kind of man you want to marry.

7. Jonathan Rhys Meyers - I first saw him as soccer coach Joe in Bend it Like Beckham. He’s dark, brooding and has a gorgeous Irish accent and we all know how much I love a man with an accent.

6. Julian McMahon - Just like Hilly I’ve loved Julian since his days on Charmed. Him leaving the show was when that show became WAY less entertaining to me. He’s just yummy.

5. Colin Firth - So he’s not drop-dead gorgeous like some of these other men. Who cares? He’s taken to playing more dad-like roles in movies but I adore him. He seems ridiculously charming and he was Mr. Darcy in the BBC Pride and Prejudice.

4. Hugh Jackman - This Aussie is simply divine. He’s built, he has a strong, chiseled face and he can sing. I can think of a place I’d love for him to go down under…

3. Ewan McGregor - Yet another man with a heavenly accent. He sings, he dances, he cries, he battles dark lords. How can you not love this man? I just wanna squeeze him.

2. Matthew Macfadyen - Another tribute to my love of Mr. Darcy. He is more than welcome to bewitch me body and soul. Oh, how I love him.

1. Johnny Depp - One of only two Americans on my list. I love this man. I have loved him since I was a kid. And talk about aging well. This man has become more and more attractive with age. He’s funny, can have a virtually any accent, and looks completely sexy as an eye-liner wearing pirate.

Clearly in looking at this list I like dark, brooding men with accents. Hmm…

Choose Me

Lady Jaye on Aug-16-2008

Choose me because I make you laugh.

Choose me because you don’t mind that my hair is a mess in the mornings.

Choose me because you like the sound of my voice.

Choose me because you love my love of sports.

Choose me because you love the way I look in the moonlight.

Choose me because my faith in God astounds you.

Choose me because you love the way I smile when I see you.

Choose me because I listen to your troubles.

Choose me because of my unfailing loyalty.

Choose me not because you’d be lost without me but because you find yourself with me.

Choose me because it’s love.

Sinking

Lady Jaye on Aug-14-2008

I feel like the little boat of life that I am on is sinking.

I feel myself sinking into a deep depression.

I see friends I care about sinking.

My heart sinks for them.

I don’t know what to do.

Quick and Painless Enneagram Test

8 - the Asserter

you chose AY - your Enneagram type is EIGHT (aka “The Challenger”).

“I must be strong”

Asserters are direct, self-reliant, self-confident, and protective.

How to Get Along with Me

  • Stand up for yourself… and me.
  • Be confident, strong, and direct.
  • Don’t gossip about me or betray my trust.
  • Be vulnerable and share your feelings. See and acknowledge my tender, vulnerable side.
  • Give me space to be alone.
  • Acknowledge the contributions I make, but don’t flatter me.
  • I often speak in an assertive way. Don’t automatically assume it’s a personal attack.
  • When I scream, curse, and stomp around, try to remember that’s just the way I am.

What I Like About Being a EIGHT

  • being independent and self-reliant
  • being able to take charge and meet challenges head on
  • being courageous, straightforward, and honest
  • getting all the enjoyment I can out of life
  • supporting, empowering, and protecting those close to me
  • upholding just causes

What’s Hard About Being a EIGHT

  • overwhelming people with my bluntness; scaring them away when I don’t intend to
  • being restless and impatient with others’ incompetence
  • sticking my neck out for people and receiving no appreciation for it
  • never forgetting injuries or injustices
  • putting too much pressure on myself
  • getting high blood pressure when people don’t obey the rules or when things don’t go right

EIGHTs as Children Often

  • are independent; have an inner strength and a fighting spirit
  • are sometimes loners
  • seize control so they won’t be controlled
  • fugure out others’ weaknesses
  • attack verbally or physically when provoked
  • take charge in the family because they perceive themselves as the strongest, or grow up in difficult or abusive surroundings

EIGHTs as Parents

  • are often loyal, caring, involved, and devoted
  • are sometimes overprotective
  • can be demanding, controlling, and rigid

Take the test yourself here and let me know what you come up with. This thing is actually really accurate for me. While I can’t comment on what I’d be like as a parent as I have no children all of the other things ring very true. So y’all should definitely check it out.
